May at The French Table

We took a few days off recently for a delightful trip to Cornwall and returned with a lovely new addition to our gin listings - Padstow Gin.

We joined founder David for a great coastal walk, helping to pick the fragrant Alexanders – their local botanical of choice. We’d arranged a little drink on the beach to finish but we forgot the glasses, so David mixed it up in the cooler and we swigged from that! Excellent fun, great memories and we highly recommend booking their Padstow Gin Walk if ever you are down that way.

We look forward to seeing you soon - perhaps for a Padstow gin garnished with bayleaf and lime!

New Cocktail from Barman Adam

Adam would highly recommend his ‘Black Velvet Fizz’ this month. He was inspired by two classic cocktails; the ‘Black Velvet’ and the ‘Ramos Gin Fizz’ With flavours of dark bitter caramel and orange topped with refined champagne bubbles, it’s a grown-up cocktail and the perfect pick-me-up for a post-work, mid-week dinner.

23 Years of the French Table

The French Table will be celebrating 23 years later this year (!) and we’re thinking to raid the archives and create a special anniversary menu with some memorable TFT dishes from the past two decades. If you can recall our mint green era or when we painted the front door purple, then please do share the dish you feel deserves an honourable mention with zoe@thefrenchtable.co.uk
